Allama Iqbal Open University has just announced admissions for Autumn 2013 in MS, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes and admissions are open from 03 June 2013 and last date of submission of admission form is 12th July 2013. After first last date Admission forms can be sent finally from 13 to 26 July 2013 with late fee @ additional processing fee Rs. 500/- Details of admission is given below in the advertisement:

2. MPhil Islamic Studies with specialization in Quran & Tafseer

1. MPhil Chemistry (Classes will be held in Islamabad campus only)

2. MS Community Health and Nutrition (PGD Nutrition/Dieteties pre-requisite & GAT is not needed at this stage)

Eligibility Criteria to Get Admission in MS / M.Phil Program:
To get admission in MS / Mphil Program of AIOU a candiate must have Master in relavant subject at least 2nd division and must passed NTS (GAT) General Test with minimum 50% Marks

PhD Programmes - (MS/Mphil Based)

AIOU offering MS/Mphil based Ph.D programmes in the following subjects:

2. Ph.D Islamic Studies with specialization in Quran & Tafseer

1. Ph.D in Chemistry (Classes will be held in Islamabad campus only)

1. Ph.D Iqbal Studies

2. Ph.D in Urdu
3. Ph.D in Pakistani Languages and Literature (With specilization in Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, Pushto, Brahui, Saraiki)

Eligibility Criteria to Get Admission in AIOU Ph.D Programmes:
A Candidate must have 1st Divsion relavant MS / Mphil Degree / 3 CGPA in the relevant subject and must have passed NTS GAT (Subject) Test with at least 60% marks.

All other details of the programmes are available in the prospectus.

• Students can apply directly with attaching valid GAT Result, who have already passed said GAT General / Subject and if the passed test is still valid. However if someone has not yet given or passed the said test NTS will arrange special test for them as per the following schedule:

• Registration on NTS website (www.nts.org.pk) – 03 to 10 June 2013
• Date of GAT (Subject / General) – 23 June 2013
• Result will announced on NTS website on – 02 July 2013
• last date of submission of admission form is 12th July 2013

Late Deposit of Admission Forms - Students who could not submit admission form till 12th July 2013 can submit their admission forms from 13 July 2013 to 26 July 2013 with a additional processing fee of Rs. 500/- After 26th July 2013 no admission form will be received.

• NTS GAT (General) result is valid for 2 years.
• NTS GAT (Subject) result is also valid for 2 years. 
• NTS arranged test as per the following schedule:
• Admissions will closed on 26-07-2013 (last date of submission of admission forms)
• Prospectus and admission forms for Ph.D, Mphil, MS programmes available on the aiou website processing fee is Rs. 500/- 

Proceedure to Deposite Admission Forms:

Visit aiou.edu.pk or undermentioned link to Download Prospectus to read full instructions and directions & click on right side at Download Admission Form. Now fill out this first page online

and press SUBMIT and on next page you will see instructions to set page setting of admission form now finally press print admission form and fill out the remaining portion of form by hand or through computer carefully and complete in all respect.

• Attach attested documents and photo with Admission Form which you just printed from the above link.
• Deposit Processing fee Rs. 500 till 12 July 2013 and if you are late Rs. 1000/- from 13 to 26 July 2013 in authorised banks branches of MCB bank (Branches List) on challan form and attach with printed Admission Form.
• Review the completed admission form and attached documents including bank challan form and send admission to the following address:
