AIOU started to receive applications for admissions in Spring 2018 as Vice-Chancellor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui has approved the admission plan as the Autumn semester is near to complete. Last date of admission is 05th March 2018. In this semester programs and courses offered are Matric, FA, BA, MA, MSc, MBA, BBA, BS 4 Years, M.Phil, M.S Hons, Ph.D. BLIS, MLIS, Associate Degree ADC, B.Ed, M.Ed, PGD Diploma, and short certificate courses, Dars e Nizami, B.Com, Col MPA for all no age limit restrictions. This is best university that offers the lowest fee multiple program choices for those who want to further educations and they are in jobs, house ladies, teachers, and Pakistanis living abroad.

Admissions are offered across the country Islamabad all provinces Sindh, Khyber Pakhtoon Khawa (KPK), Punjab, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan (GB) and Azad Kashmir.  Saudi Arab, UAE, Kuit, Qatar, Bahrain, Aman and American. Admissions for Overseas Candidates in Allama Iqbal Open University are also open. They can get admission in Matric, FA Intermediate and B.A General, B.Com, B.A in Mass Communication or BA in Library Sciences. B.Ed, MBA, Dars e Nizami, Short Courses, Al lisaan ul Arbi (Basic Arabic Course), Arabic Bol Chaal.

Continuing student’s admission forms already dispatched at their addresses and if they not received then download the online form or get it from Matric prospectus but must process along-with bank challan and fee before the final date of admission to avoid any late fee charges.

Do not deposit any fee in Bank if you want to get admission in Merit-Based Programs Ph.D., MS/Mphil/M.Sc Hons, COL MBA/MPA, BS 4 Years, M.ScStatistics, Physics, Microbiology, Chemistry, mathematics, EPM, M.Sc Mass Communication, Environmental Science, Botany. These Candidates fill forms and directly dispatch to head to concerned department as per procedure explained in prospectus. Entry Tests and interview schedules can be obtained from the university website, tests would be conducted from 15 to 25th April 2018 and the final merit list will be announced online.

AIOU offers free of cost education to FATA and Balochistan students up to Matric Classes. As per detailed given in prospectuses only designated branches of banks including Bank Alfalah, Allied Bank, First Women Bank, NBP, MCB, HBL are authorized to collect admissions applications and requisite admission fee. Don't handover cash to anybody or prepare any pay order/bank draft which is not allowed and submit admission fee through banks only as per prescribed guidelines.
