Associate Degree in Commerce (A.D.C) Subjects

Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad offers Associate Degree Program in Commerce with two options of specializations one is A.D.C Banking & Finance and second one is Accounting & Finance. This is a 04 semesters (equal to 02 years) program. All subjects are compulsory. Each semester duration is 06 six months. Semester-wise List of subjects & course code is given below:

ایسوسی ایٹ ڈگری اِن کامرس بیچلر (گریجویشن) میں کل 20 کورسز ہیں جو چار سمسٹرز میں پڑھنے ہیں۔ ہر کورس 03 کریڈٹس کے برابر ہے۔ آخری سمسٹر میں کسی ادرے میں 03 ماہ کی  انٹرن شپ/ پراجیکٹ کرنا  لازمی ہے اور انٹرن شپ کی رپورٹ کامرس ڈپارٹمنٹ میں جمع ہوتی ہے اوررپورٹ کی  پڑتال کے بعدزبانی امتحان viva voce ہوتا ہے اور کامیابی پر بےاے کے برابر بینک اینڈ فنانس یا اکاؤنٹنگ فنانس میںADC in Commerce  فائنل ڈگری دی جاتی ہے۔

Third Semester چھوتھے سمسٹر کے مضامین کی فہرست Students have to select one specialization subjects out of below mentioned two areas:

اپنی ترجیح اور پسندکے مطابق طلباء و طالبات چھوتھے سمسٹر میں مندرجہ ذیل 02 تخصیصات میں سے کسی ایک سپشلائزیشن کے مضامین کو منتخب کریں۔وہ آپشن لیں جس میں آپ کی دلچسپی ہو اور فائنل ڈگری حاصل کرنے کا ارادہ ہے۔

Option No. 1: Specialization in Accounting & Finance
There are 18 credit hours in final semester. Students have to do a 03 three months practical internship / project in an industry, company, Bank, NGO or Government Organization etc.

Those who choose above courses will be awarded ADC Degree with Specialization in A&F after completion of all 66 credit hours courses. If anyone does not take / choose Option No.1 above specialization then he or she has to select option no.2

Option No. 2: Specialization Courses for Banking & Finance

There are 18 credit hours courses including an internship/project in final semester for this group student. Students have to do 03 months practical internship / project in any popular financial institution, firm, commercial bank, public or private sector department.

A student will be granted an Associate Degree in Commerce with title specialization in Banking & Finance subject to successfully completion and fulfilling all academic activities. Department of Commerce will evaluate internship/project report and conduct a viva voce exam and passing in this activity is compulsory for issuance of final degree. Grade and GPA will be given as per new scheme Grading system of AIOU.

Scheme of Study 

Associate Degree Program in Commerce offered through blended of learning and face to face workshop. Online classes on olive.aiou.edu.pk, workshop attendance, laptop/computer with internet connection, punctuality, assignments, continuous assessment, final project/internship report, viva in end are part of study process.
