Matric General Group Admission Autumn in AIOU - July to September 2026

 The minimum duration for matric is 02 years and it complete in 04 semesters. Generally there are three types of matric programs offerred by Allama Iqbal Open University: 

1. Matric General Group
2. Matric Dars e Nizami
3. Matric Open Courses

In this post we will explain details about Matric General Group admissions for Autumn Jul to Sep 2026 program;

The minimum age to get admission in Matric General Group is 13 years at the time of admission and to provide middle pass certificate but if not have middle certificate then there is a good news that as per new policy you dont need to provide this certificate however CNIC copy or B Form attested copy is compulsory to submit with the admission application form. 

Moreover at the time of filling admission form must write correct CNIC / B Form number, date of birth, father name, mobile number, address, and must attach pictures with all supporting documents. Otherwise admission form will not be accepted. If any student mistaken write the incorrect information and it will be print on secondary school certificate like spell mistake in his / her own name or father name or wrong date of birth then it will be a difficult process to submit applications for the correction so to avoid this problem fill the form will correct spelling and correct data. 

Key points to Remember:

1. Generally admissions in the matric General Group offerred by AIOU twice in a year in the spring fall, January to March and in the Autumn Fall Jul to Sep.
2. 48 credit hours are necessary to get the secondary school certificate Matric level pass certificate.
3. All credit courses in first three semesters are compulsory whereas in the last fourth semester all credit courses are optional and student can choose as per their choice.
