Allama Iqbal Open University arranged final examinations as per schedule announced well before time and normally twice in a year i.e. in December for Spring Semester and in June for Autumn Semester. Before the dates of examination papers, student will receive their Roll No. Slips on their postal addresses, moreover these slips are parallel available on AIOU website as well. You must contract in Allama Iqbal Open University Controller of Examination directly, if you still not received your Roll No. Slip on your postal address so that they provide you a duplicate copy of your Roll No. Slip as without it you will not be allowed to sit in final examination papers.
Likewise in assignment, the final examination is also a compulsory component of AIOU education system and only those candidates who will have passed in assignments with 40% marks will be eligible to take part in the final exam. Examination schedule will be announced by the Controller of the examination office of the AIOU. In case a candidate not secured at least 40% marks in the final exam paper then he or she will be considered fail and will have to re-appear in the same paper in the next semester. However there are total 3 chances given to the student to pass the paper and he or she will have to get new admission for the failed paper in case paper not passed in all attempts.
You should work hard for your final examination as well as prepare your assignments very well and try to get maximum marks in assignments because as per university policy 30% of assignment marks will also be included in the final examination marks and 70% weightage will be given to the final examination marks. Student will award the following grades according to the percentage of marks they obtain in the final exams however this will not apply on like BBA, MBA programs:

Note
Assignments for every course are compulsory part of AIOU and if you have been failed in assignment due to any reason you will be considered fail also even you pass the paper in the final exam.
