Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad designed Family and Community Health programme. This program will provide a common professional and educational foundation for health support staff Para-medical staff and nurses that will harmonize and balance their vocational and professional training. There are many interesting subjects that teach under this program.
Subjects in F.Sc Family & Community Health
- To get admission in this program you must have passed SSC certificate / matric level exam with at least second division. Admissions are offered in two semesters i.e. Spring (February each year) and Autumn (August each year).
- This program is best fit for the para-medicals including nurses who are unable to continue their professional education and also for the backward rural community to get Higher Secondary education at their doorstep. Family and Community Health education will improve women’s understanding and knowledge and will help a lot to solve their problems as a mother. The university also arranged useful tutorial Television programmes for several courses. Schedule of these programmes available in the study package including books.
- Once you successfully secured your admission in F.Sc Family and Community Health you will be received books alongwith other study material consisting questionnaires for written assignments. Your study performance has been assessed continuously by evaluating your written assignments, practical activities and workshops.
- Chemistry Practical Work Instead of common written assignment for Chemistry-I course students will required to complete practical (workbook) during continuous assessment but Chemistry Tutorials are compulsory to attend. Moreover in final examination a final practical exam of Chemistry will be taken also. The aggregate passing marks are minimum 40% to pass a course.
- Admission will not be cancelled or fee will not be refunded once admissions get finalized and course material and books have been dispatched to the student.
- You should attach attested photocopies of your Matric/SSC certificate otherwise admission will not be granted. Web-based print out of result will not be considered. Moreover students who passed their SSC exam from AIOU must attach provisional certificate or passing certificate on result card admission will not be permitted.
- Non-Muslim students will take admission in (Ethics) as a compulsory subject instead of Islamiat (Compulsory). Muslim student cannot opt Ethics and Non-Muslim students cannot opt Islamic Studies as a half credit course. Only one technical or professional course allowed taking in one time.
- FSc/Higher Secondary School Certificate program is equal to 12 years of Education and admissions are offered to candidates who possess SSC level 10 Years of education. HSSC program is a 4 semester program. Students are admitted in this program twice in a year in spring and autumn semesters. Every 6 month of studies is called a semester and student studies in the semester and solve assignments. In the end of each semester university take final exam. To get final HSSC Certificate student are required to pass in 8 Full Credits (FC) courses or courses equal to 8 credits.
