Program Duration and Credit hours in AIOU Matric General & Dars e Nizami Groups

AIOU Matric General Group and Dars e Nizami Groups course timeline (Duration), credits hours details are discussed in this post. Matric from Allama Iqbal Open University is a 02 Years 04 semester program. Matric education is equal to 10 years of education. 

All are compulsory courses in first three semesters of Matric General Group whereas in fourth semester about 23 optional courses are available to choose.

میٹرک درسِ نظامی ثانویہ عامہ پروگرام کی کُل مدت

Moreover, it is important to keep in mind that in a semester a student can take only 02 complete, or 04 half or 01 complete and 02 half credit courses. Simply in each semester student will study and pass courses equal to 02 full  credits so 2 x 4 semesters (=08 Full credit courses) to earn the Secondary School Certificate (SSC). 

Book/Course of a complete credit hour subject consist on 18 units. Whereas a half credit course book contains on 09 units to study. Further details are:

• The university will not send books of such subjects which is already been studying in Madaris however assignments of these subjects will be dispatch to complete and for every course tutors will be allocated for checking and evaluation of student assignment work.
• AIOU will conduct exams in it's own way and procedure of those subjects the student of Madris already studying and those subjects which are not teaching there will be part of this program as well being their importance and advantages so such subjects education will be provided through distance learning procedure.
