Specializations

All students of Associate Degree in Commerce study same subjects till 03rd semester and in Final semester they have 02 choices of Specializations:

These specialization students will be awarded Bachelor Degree with title Associate Degree in Commerce Specialization in Accounting and Finance by the Allama Iqbal Open University of Pakistan. This specialization enables students to gain important knowledge, expertise and skills necessary to be fully adjust on any accounting position. They learn how to manage financial matters, prepare accounting data and reports, investment decision making and start any small business with confidence. 

2. Banking and Finance

It means if a student who had kept Banking & Finance Subjects will earn Bachelor Degree with title Associate Degree in Commerce Specialization in Banking and Finance by AIOU Pakistan. Student will get enormous knowledge of national and international markets structures, functions, investment banking, Role of Intermediates and financial institutions. They get skills of auditing, preparation of accounting ledgers, reports and financial statements, Asset management. Student will be able to start their own small business with proper management with skills and techniques they learn in ADC course. These specialization students have higher chances to get attractive jobs in commercial banks and financial organizations as Cashier or OG-III. 

Associate degree in Commerce is a post secondary degree equal to 14 years of Education. This is 02 years 04 semesters 66 credit hours program. Only 70% attendance in a blended mode of education online classes and workshops is required. 

Project / Internship Provide Practical Experience

All students of Associate Degree in Commerce Banking & Finance or Accounting & Finance will have an opportunity to carry out a 03 months practical internship and to complete their project in a famous industry, bank or financial institution. This activity give them exposure and opportunities to apply their rhetorical knowledge in practical situation. So they can learn a lot and see and compare how these businesses perform their financial matters handling and assets management besides administrative functions.
