Allama Iqbal Open University offers associate degree in commerce through blended mode of learning i.e. attendance in online classes and workshop lectures. There are six (06) Types/Groups/Fields of Bachelor programs range of AIOU. A student can take admission in a single group only at a time if he or she is eligible as per terms and conditions and qualify admissions criteria in a program of their interest. Simply you have to select a single package which has a mix and specialties of your choice. All Bachelor groups have different scopes and obviously different conditions of admission and courses books; some in English & Urdu mediums for studies excluded compulsory subjects which are similar in some groups. In the same way it is compulsory for students of a specific group to attend classes; you can consider it a regular bachelor program. On the other hand there are some bachelor groups where attending tutorial classes in study centers are not compulsory so these types of degree program are considered as private BA. Attendance
Associate Degree in Commerce (ADC) is a bachelor level regular cum distance learning program with two specializations: (a). ADC in Accounting & Finance (b). ADC in Banking & Finance. To appear in final exam papers to receive final degree 70% of attendance is mandatory in each course. There are 20 courses & 01 internship/project and to pass in a single course you have to attend 10 online lectures & 04 face to face classes in Workshops through blended mode of learning. If we calculate 70% then at least 07 online classes and (2.8 or 3) face to face lectures attendance in workshop is compulsory otherwise you will not be eligible to sit in final examination. Duration

Project / Internship is Compulsory
To get a working environment exposure ADC students have to undergo for a 03 months training in a famous industry or firm/company. It is compulsory practice activity of 06 credit hours to complete a project/internship in final semester to earn your final ‘Associate Degree in Commerce’.
