A seven 07 days duration workshop 05 hours per day is compulsory in which face to face training activities like AV aid/artwork Development, Classroom management & assessment skills, portfolio pre-preparation, Classroom skills, presentation of lessons, teaching, and learning-related issues have to tackle in a classroom setting for students of Educational Technology & Evaluation, Science Education, Inclusive Education and Reading, Teacher Education Specializations.

On the other hand for the student's School Management Specialization the same 07 days 05 hours per day and with 80% attendance and participation is mandatory to pass the course.  In the workshop concerned tutor, supervisor or resource person will train the students on how to perform School Financial, physical, personnel, and Record management, dealing with the school community, the role of instructional supervision, and how to develop or improve the school.

At the end of the workshop students of both specializations will be able to professionally conduct their six-week teaching practicum activities in a teaching organization and can prepare their final project report for presentation or develop final lesson plans.

Basically, there are two types of practicums for B.Ed Students, and attending workshops is compulsory. Details of practicum work is summarized below:

1. Specialization in Teaching Practicum

Those students who selected the following specialization courses are required to spend 6 weeks in a teaching practicum site/School 4 hours daily:
  • Teacher Education, 
  • Inclusive Education; 
  • Reading, 
  • Educational Technology and Evaluation 
  • & Science Education 
They will perform mainly two activities in school i.e. co-curricular and administrative activities assigned to school management. Secondly, they develop 40 lesson plans and teach them into school classes in six weeks of practicum activity. On completion of the practicum, they would be required to prepare 02 final lesson plan to present it to the panel consist of a tutor, supervisor, co-operating teaching, and expert. The panel will award marks which will be added to the final score of teaching practicum II.

2. Specialization in School Management Practicum


In light of guidelines provided in Manual of Teaching Practice-II B.ED 1.5 Year Code No. 8608 students doing specialization in "Leadership & Management" are required to complete School Management Practicum Report after completion of a six-week school experience mainly about school management activities like Financial, physical, human management, Instructional supervision, school development, school community, and record maintaining. At the end of the practicum six-week period, a final report on the format given in the manual will be required to submit that shows your activity details in six weeks. The concerned panel consisting of the tutor, cooperating teacher, and an expert will assess the report presentation and award marks. To be successful in these activities follow the Gibbs reflective Model which encourages thinking systematically about an experience's phases and use headings for reflection of structure.
